Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are you a registered breeder ? What paper work is provided along with the puppies ? Answer - Yes, we are a registered breeder with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and Indian Kennel Club (IKC). Every puppy we offer comes with official IKC or AKC registration papers, ensuring their status as purebred German Shepherds. We maintain the highest standards of documentation and do not sell any dog without proper registration and pedigree certification.
2. Can I get more than one puppy at a time ? Answer - We do not sell more than one puppy from the same litter to the same home. Littermate syndrome can lead to behavioral issues such as poor socialization, separation anxiety, fearfulness, and difficulty in training, as the puppies become overly dependent on each other.
3. What kind of health testing do you do for your breeding dogs ? Answer - All our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing, including OFA and PennHIP evaluations for hips, elbows, and spine. We also screen for eyes, heart, and thyroid health, and conduct Embark DNA testing to ensure they are clear of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). Read our Breeding program for more information.
4. Do you title your breeding dogs ? Do your dogs participate in competitions ? Answer - Yes, we actively train and title our dogs. All our breeding dogs hold IGP titles, and some are also titled in herding and nose work. We are committed to preserving the working ability and sound temperament of the German Shepherd Dog—please refer to our breeding program for full details. We also participate in conformation shows, which are essential for evaluating a dog's structure, movement, and adherence to the breed standard. This ensures that our breeding program maintains both functional working ability and correct physical type.
5. Can I breed the dog I get from you once it reaches certain age? Answer- We sell puppies with limited registration and non breeding agreements. Breeding rights and full registration may be granted after the dog is titled and passes all required health tests. This policy supports responsible breeding and helps preserve the integrity and standards of the German Shepherd breed.
6. What will you be doing for the puppy in first 8-9 weeks before it is sent to their forever home ? Answer - Before your puppy comes home, we ensure it receives age-appropriate vaccinations and regular deworming. We also begin early socialization by exposing the puppies to various sounds, people (including children), car rides, and everyday environments like bicycles to help them develop into confident and well-adjusted companions. In addition, we introduce basic potty training and crate training to help establish good habits and ease the transition into your home. A full health check by a vet will also be done a few days before your puppy leaves for their forever home. This ensures that the puppy is in optimal health, free from any issues, and ready for their new life with you.
7. What will be given to the buyer along with the puppy ? Answer - 1. Health & Vaccination Record – A detailed table showing all vaccinations and deworming completed so far, plus a schedule for future ones. 2. Microchipped Puppy – Your puppy will come with a registered microchip for identification and safety. 3. Comfort Blanket – A blanket carrying the scent of the mother and littermates to ease the transition. 4. Favorite Toy – One of the puppy’s preferred toys to help with comfort and familiarity. 5. Starter Food Pack – A 2-day supply of the current food the puppy is used to. 6. Dog Care Booklet – Includes feeding guidelines, vaccination/deworming schedules, and general puppy care tips. 7.IKC/AKC Pedigree Papers – Official pedigree papers for the puppy, detailing its lineage and proving its registration with IKC/AKC.
8. What is the cost of each puppy ? Answer - 1.5 Lakh INR / 2500 -3500 USD. Additional shipping charges are applied if puppy needs to be shipped.
9. Can I choose my puppy ? Answer - You can choose the gender, but we select the specific puppy based on temperament and personality assessments to ensure the best match. This helps place higher-drive puppies with experienced or working homes, while calmer puppies go to companion or first-time owners.
10. Should I spay or neuter my dog ? Answer - Yes, you should spay or neuter your dog if you are not a professional breeder or do not plan to work your dog in shows or competitions. However, it is very important not to spay or neuter your dog before 24 months of age. Early spay/neuter can interfere with natural hormonal development, leading to improper bone and joint growth, increased risk of hip and elbow dysplasia, and higher chances of certain health and behavioral issues. When done at the correct age (after 24 months), spaying or neutering helps prevent accidental litters, reduces the risk of reproductive cancers, and can support stable, predictable behavior. Choosing to spay or neuter at the right time is also a sign of responsible pet ownership, helping reduce overpopulation and promoting the well-being of your dog and the breed as a whole.
11. How big will your puppies get once they become adult? Answer - We breed dogs that strictly follow the FCI standard for West German Show Line German Shepherds, maintaining correct structure and size. Our program does not produce oversized or undersized dogs. Adult Males: Height 60–65 cm, Weight 30–40 kg Adult Females: Height 55–60 cm, Weight 22–32 kg
